We offer the opportunity for hunters to come and explore Africa’s rich diversity of wildlife, savannah grasslands, majestic mountains and the bushveld.

Our lodge is situated only 3 hours from O.R Tambo International Airport in the scenic area of Thabazimbi, Limpopo province. Our friendly staff and experienced professional hunters ensure that this is a safari not to be missed. The freshly prepared African cuisine adds the final touch.

Trophy hunting is a way of life for us. We not only enjoy the thrill of the hunt, but also the picturesque landscapes and relaxing at a waterhole.  We are blessed to spend time in awe of God’s creation and we invite you, your friends and family to come and experience the beauty that Africa has to offer.

PLAINS GAME HUNT

When trophy hunting is the name of the game, Africa’s diverse wildlife has no equal. In South Africa more than 30 species of plains game can be hunted offering the widest range of species to the sportsman. South Africa boasts with more mammals than any other place on earth.

Idube Safaris offers plains game hunts covering different terrains. Our lodges are ideally situated. The size and unique attributes of our hunting concessions make each day a new experience.

Each area varies in habitat, which is suited for certain species of plains game and holds its own challenges for the hunter. We employ hunting techniques based on the preference of the hunter. This includes walking and stalking or hunting from a blind with a bow and arrow. We offer hunts for people with disabilities or other physical limitations such as age or medical conditions. You will often hear the call of a jackal as you sit around the campfire reminiscing on the events of the day.

The best months for hunting are from April to September. These are the cooler winter months with daytime temperatures reasonably warm (18°C/65°F). The temperatures at night can drop to as low as -4°C (24°F) although temperatures tend to remain above 0°C (32°F). Rainfall occurs in Summer.

We maintain our vehicles and equipment to the highest standard as we realize that we are depending on well-functioning equipment in remote areas and difficult terrains. Our vehicles have been specially fitted with equipment to assist in our hunting activities.

DANGEROUS GAME HUNT

Our professional hunters combined have more than 32 years of dangerous game hunting experience. Nothing beats the thrill of a dangerous game hunt!

We offer dangerous game hunting for hippo, crocodile, leopard and buffalo. However, these hunts need to be booked at least 6 months in advance as we require some time to obtain the necessary permits from the relevant authorities. Leopards are very elusive animals but other than that we have a high success rate for our dangerous game hunts.

When there is dangerous game on the quota, a South African safari can provide memories of a lifetime. Preparation for the hunt is of utmost importance – you need to have the correct rifle, rifle caliber and the right bullet. These factors can really make the difference between a successful hunt and a very expensive stroll through the bushveld.  At the risk of sounding melodramatic, using the right rifle can mean the difference between life and death when hunting dangerous game.

For this reason, it is very important to trust your Professional Hunter’s advice in this regard. Be comfortable with your weapon and practice before heading into the bush. The area in which you will be hunting depends on the specie you are interested in.

As mentioned above, our Professional Hunters have years of experience in hunting dangerous game and your safety is of utmost importance to us. Our dangerous game price list can be viewed here.
