PLAINS GAME HUNTPlaigs Game Hunt

When trophy hunting is the name of the game, Africa’s diverse wildlife has no equal. In South Africa more than 30 species of plains game can be hunted offering the widest range of species to the sportsman. South Africa boasts with more mammals than any other place on earth.

Idube Safaris offers plains game hunts covering different terrains. Our lodges are ideally situated. The size and unique attributes of our hunting concessions make each day a new experience.

Each area varies in habitat, which is suited for certain species of plains game and holds its own challenges for the hunter. We employ hunting techniques based on the preference of the hunter. This includes walking and stalking or hunting from a blind with a bow and arrow. We offer hunts for people with disabilities or other physical limitations such as age or medical conditions. You will often hear the call of a jackal as you sit around the campfire reminiscing on the events of the day.

The best months for hunting are from April to September. These are the cooler winter months with daytime temperatures reasonably warm (18°C/65°F). The temperatures at night can drop to as low as -4°C (24°F) although temperatures tend to remain above 0°C (32°F). Rainfall occurs in Summer.

We maintain our vehicles and equipment to the highest standard as we realize that we are depending on well-functioning equipment in remote areas and difficult terrains. Our vehicles have been specially fitted with equipment to assist in our hunting activities.
